The Wool Trade Marathon.
Simon is leading a linear walk of two distances from Lavenham on Saturday 16th June. The group are providing the bus, picking up from Ashes Farm Mendlesham, for a long route of 27 miles. It will also be picking up again in Needham Market for the shorter route of 18 miles taking us to Lavenham for the start of the walk. Walking speed will be at a brisk pace and booking is required for those wanting a space on the bus.

18 mile route 08.10 Bus pickup in the High Street at the bus stop opposite the Swan Pub. ( The Swan is opposite to the entrance of Needham Market Station. )

A little about the walk,
The walk will start from Suffolks finest historic wool town at Lavenham 9am, the route will then be taking us through the fine wool trade villages of Monks Eleigh, Chelsworth, and Bildeston ,morning break in Bildeston. The afternoon route will include Barking Common, Priestley Ancient Wood and Barking Church Causeway before the 18mile route finishes back in Needham Market. The 27mile walkers will be able to top up with refreshments in Needham Market, before heading past Hawks Mill then a short length of River path, on to Creeting St Mary, The Lords Way and back by the Mid Suffolk path.
